This week, we continued our learnings about Terry Fox through various books and watching this video about him. We participated in our Terry Fox run on Tuesday, as well as completed a Terry Fox guided drawing. Check out the wonderful drawings below!

On Orange Shirt Day, we read "Phyllis' Orange Shirt," as well as listened to the story, "When We Were Alone." We had an age-appropriate conversation around the history of Residential Schools. We also read the Indigenous story, "The Sharing Circle." We learned that this tradition provides opportunities for each voice to be heard, respected and valued. Students are asked to go on an outdoor walk this week(end), and search for a stick to bring to school. We will be painting and creating our own talking sticks to share at home with our families.

In Spanish, we are continuing to work on colour vocabulary, and we are are using this in conjunction with "Me gusta..." (I like...) and "No me gusta..." (I don't like...).
